October 02, 2014 – COVENTRY, UK – Hilton Coventry has undergone a $1 million investment for an extensive refurbishment of the lobby and restaurant, which allowed the development of a new branded restaurant, The Larder, giving a British post-war feel. After full remodelling of the lobby, the place was converted into a modern and relaxing lounge and bar where guests can utilise the working space or enjoy a relaxing coffee with complimentary
internet.
The Larder not only has a modern design, but it also accommodates private dining space, making this ideal for family or business occasions. The concept boasts the recent rediscovery in the trend of eating local, classic British cuisine, blending contemporary twist that echoes its homespun charm. The spatial design is intended to evoke natural, homely charm with the enhancement of the retro styling of a country house pantry. Armchairs and wooden floors give a warm, smart feel. The Larder offers friendly and attentive service with a vibrant, buzzing atmosphere.
“Embarking on the project over a year ago, I never imagined the impact we were going to be able to achieve with the investment,” said Carl Littlewood, general manager, Hilton Coventry. “The flexibility we now have with the space enhances our offering to the large events business, yet creates areas of intimacy for smaller parties. Post refurbishment, seeing the regular customer faces as they walk into the building has certainly been one of the highlights.”
The new restaurant was designed with bringing more space in mind and now The Larder offers greater flexibility for larger events and exhibitions, whilst also creating a fresh contemporary area.
