Relive The ‘Sounds Of Music’ With Elisabeth Von Trapp, Granddaughter Of Maria And Baron Von Trapp

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 23, 2014)—Uniworld Boutique River Cruises teams up with renowned song stylist Elisabeth von Trapp—granddaughter of Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music—to present two special performances at The Villages “Women’s Expo.” The event will be held at the Polo Complex, 703 N. Buena Vista Blvd. in Sumter County, Florida on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Highlights of Ms. Von Trapp’s concert repertoire ranges from “Bach to Broadway, Schubert to Sting,” and includes such tunes as “Favorite Things” and “Edelweiss” from the belovedSound of Music musical, as well as gospel music, pop classics, and her own compositions.

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the film that introduced the singing Von Trapp family to fans around the world. To celebrate this anniversary, Uniworld guests may join Ms. Von Trapp as she hosts the July 26 and August 2 “Enchanting Danube” departures for the week, greeting guests with a welcome reception, concert, and “Evening Sing-Along” onboard.
