Hilton Naples Is City’s First Three Palm Green Lodging Hotel
October 29, 2014 – NAPLES, Fla. – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection honored the Hilton Naples for achieving its Three Palm Certification as a Florida Green Lodging Program Designated Property.
To achieve the One, Two, Three or Four Palm levels, a hotel must reach a specific number of points based on implementing “green” practices.
“Our entire team is dedicated to preserving Florida’s natural resources and conserving energy,” said general manager Clark Hill. “We are now increasing our green lodging efforts to reach the department’s top-tier, Four Palm designation.”
The Hilton Naples earned the Three Palm designation by showing quantifiable improvements in the hotel’s “green” efforts, including environmentally friendly practices, increasing recycling, reducing water consumption, dramatically lowering waste, and reducing natural gas and electrical usage.
Located at 5111 Tamiami Trail North, the Hilton Naples features upscale accommodations, the award-winning Shula’s Steak House and banquet and meeting facilities offering “Green Meetings.”
