Miami Beach Mayor & Delegation visit Maison & Objet Paris in Preparation for U.S. Launch in May 2015
September 15, 2014 – Miami Beach – In anticipation of the U.S. launch of MAISON&OBJET AMERICAS in Miami Beach May 12-15th, 2015, a delegation, which included Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, Commissioner Ed Tobin, executives from both the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, from The Miami Design District and select media, traveled to Paris for MAISON&OBJET PARIS September 5-9.
The group was given a special tour of the nine exhibition halls which was followed by a private lunch attended by Serge Nicole, President of Ateliers d’Art de France, Michel Filzi, President of Reed Exhibitions France and Michel Vilair, Chairman of The Board of SAFI*.
To commemorate this new venture, M&O constructed a colorful lifeguard station in the entry hall to the show, which also served as the setting for the M&O AMERICAS cocktail party. Philippe Brocart, the Managing Director of SAFI* the company which owns and runs M&O, introduced the Miami Beach Show to the hundreds gathered, and Mayor Philip Levine expressed his excitement about this next great design event on the Miami Beach Calendar.
The massive scope and scale of the Paris show, spanning more than 2,500,000 square feet and hosting more than 3,500 exhibitors, 80,000 trade visitors and 3,000 journalists per session, certainly dazzled the delegation.
